	What's the difference between APR and interest rate. The sallie mae website says that they are different and that one can be higher than the other. I checked the other day, July 1, and my interest rate decreased! Woot Woot! But Sallie Mae says that they cut out their consolidation program. What's with that? The city library is a free resource. Use it!

form what i remember, apr is the annual effective rate, and the "interest rate" can be based off any oompounding period.
